Our verdict at a glance

RedotPay is the easiest and cheapest way to start spending stablecoins with a Visa card — as long as you respect its fee map and its custodial nature. That assessment follows our review of the product, its documentation and fees, together with the user feedback available to us.

What works especially well

  • Lowest entry in the market. In practice: virtual Visa for a one-time $10.
  • Live within minutes of KYC. Apple Pay & Google Pay supported.
  • Huge limits. In practice: up to $1M daily spending, high ATM capacity.
  • Practical upside: Deposits across 7+ networks (TRC20, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum …).
  • Broad reach. In practice: 150+ countries, strong in regions banks ignore.
  • Serious backing. In practice: $107M Series B led by Goodwater Capital, with Pantera Capital, Blockchain Capital and Circle Ventures participating.

What to factor in

  • No cashback on the base cards. This is a spending tool, not a rewards card.
  • Fees stack. In practice: ~1% conversion + 1.2% FX on non-USD purchases.
  • Important limitation: ATM withdrawals cost a real percentage plus operator fees.
  • Custodial: the app holds your balance for you. KYC verification required.
  • Important limitation: Compliance checks can freeze balances; disputes are slow and cost $50.
  • Important limitation: Not available in the US; physical card delivery restricted in parts of MENA.
Our bottom line: Judge it as that bridge and it is excellent — judge it as a rewards card and it loses.” “RedotPay's honest job description is a bridge, not a bank: crypto goes in, Visa payments come out, anywhere on earth.

What exactly is RedotPay?

The core product is simple to describe: a Visa card linked to a crypto wallet. You deposit stablecoins or major coins, and when you pay, RedotPay converts to fiat at the point of sale — the merchant sees a completely normal Visa transaction. RedotPay is a Hong Kong-based crypto payments company founded in 2023.

The company operates under Hong Kong licensing with a US MSB registration and VASP registrations in several jurisdictions. The scale has become serious: more than six million users, roughly $10 billion in annualized payment volume, and a $107 million Series B (December 2025) led by Goodwater Capital, with participation from Pantera Capital, Blockchain Capital and Circle Ventures, plus continued backing from existing investors including HSG.

The card is the front door — the wallet underneath is what actually stores, funds and routes your money. Account features in your name unlock after completing the KYC identity verification. Around the card has grown a full app ecosystem: a multi-currency wallet, transfers between users, swaps, P2P access, crypto-backed credit and an Earn section.

The cards: $10 virtual, $100 physical

RedotPay keeps the card lineup refreshingly simple — two forms, one-time fees, no annual fee:

What it cannot do: ATM withdrawals or PIN-based terminal payments — for those you need plastic. The virtual card is issued within 5–10 minutes of completing KYC and covers everything online: shopping, subscriptions, and contactless payment via Apple Pay and Google Pay.

The spending limits are enormous across both cards — up to $1,000,000 per day, $100,000 per transaction — which explains why high-volume users gravitate here despite the fees. The physical card adds chip-and-PIN, contactless in-store payment and ATM access with unusually high capacity.

$10
one-time · no annual fee
Online shopping, subscriptions, Apple Pay & Google Pay. The cheapest test drive in the market. Live in minutes after KYC.
Physical card
$100
one-time · no annual fee
Delivery takes about two weeks; restricted in some regions. Chip & PIN, contactless in-store, ATM withdrawals with high monthly capacity.
RedotPay Pro

Only worth calculating if you spend heavily through mobile wallets. Adds a capped cashback on Apple/Google Pay purchases.

Always verify the current schedule in the app before ordering, especially the physical card fee, which is non-refundable. Fees and terms as documented in the official help center, April–July 2026 — they change periodically.

The fee map: read this before you spend

The pattern to remember: spending in USD is cheap, everything else stacks. A USD purchase (say, Amazon US) costs about 1% in conversion. A non-USD purchase adds an FX markup on top — roughly 2.2% in total. For a card without cashback, that is the whole story of whether it is worth it for you. RedotPay's marketing leads with the $10 card; the economics live in the details.

The strategy that keeps RedotPay cheap: fund with stablecoins on a cheap network, spend in USD where possible, and treat ATMs as an emergency tool, not a habit. The good news: there is no monthly or annual fee, so a card in the drawer costs nothing.

USD purchases ≈ 1%

Conversion fee when spending at USD merchants — the cheapest lane.

Non-USD ≈ 2.2%

≈1% conversion + 1.2% FX markup on cross-currency purchases.

ATM: % + operator

A percentage fee per withdrawal plus whatever the ATM operator charges — expensive for regular cash.

Card top-up ≈ 3%

Funding with a credit/debit card costs about 3% — use crypto or transfers instead.

Chargebacks $50

Disputes carry a $50 fee and can take months — prevention beats resolution.

$0 annual fee

No subscription on the base cards; one-time issuance is all you pay upfront.

Getting money in: seven networks, tiny minimums

Supported assets include USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, XRP, TRX and more — deposited across TRC20, ERC20, BEP20, Polygon, Arbitrum, Solana and Bitcoin. Minimums are tiny (from about 1 USDT on TRC20) and deposits typically land within minutes. Funding is where RedotPay shines for crypto natives.

The app always displays the exact network and address it expects — double-check both, every time, because a wrong-network transfer is unrecoverable. Beyond crypto, the app accepts bank and e-wallet transfers, Binance Pay and card top-ups (mind the ~3% card fee).

USDT & USDC

The core funding route — stablecoins in, dollars out at the till.

BTC · ETH · SOL +

Major coins are accepted and spendable from your balance.

7+ networks

TRC20, ERC20, BEP20, Polygon, Arbitrum, Solana, Bitcoin.

Tiny minimums

From ≈1 USDT on TRC20 — deposits land in about five minutes.

Binance Pay & transfers

Bank, e-wallet and Binance Pay routes where available.

Card controls

Per-purchase limits, freeze, online/offline/ATM toggles in the app.

Beyond the card: wallet, credit, swaps, Earn

RedotPay has grown from a card into a payments ecosystem: a multi-currency wallet as the foundation, instant transfers between RedotPay users, built-in swaps, P2P access, mobile top-ups, Scan-to-Pay — and two bigger modules: RedotPay Credit (borrow against your crypto instead of selling it) and Earn (yield on idle balances).

It also means more moving parts, more fees to understand and more dependence on what is available in your region. Our advice: master the card first, then add modules one at a time as you actually need them. That breadth is genuinely useful — one app can cover spending, moving and managing money.

Two rules to know: the accounts come from licensed partner institutions and open only after KYC, and top-ups are accepted solely from a bank account in your own name — third-party deposits are automatically refunded. New: real USD/EUR rails. The Multi-Currency Wallet now gives verified users a EUR account with their own IBAN and SWIFT code and a GBP account with sort code; USD moves via SWIFT, and International Transfer pays out to bank accounts and e-wallets in 21 local currencies at the mid-market rate.

Use these modules only with money whose loss would not hurt you, and read the specific terms in the app first. Credit and Earn are not free lunches: crypto-backed loans can be liquidated if your collateral drops, and yield products carry counterparty and strategy risk — none of it covered by deposit insurance.

Honest criticism: where RedotPay costs you money or nerves

Combined with the ~2.2% non-USD fee, heavy spenders in euros or pounds are measurably better off elsewhere. RedotPay wins on access and limits, not on rewards. No cashback is a real disadvantage. Rizon pays 2.5% on eligible purchases, KAST 1.5–3% by tier — RedotPay's base cards pay nothing, and the optional Pro membership's capped cashback rarely justifies its monthly fee.

Usually resolved, always stressful. The $50 chargeback fee with months-long dispute timelines adds to it. Fund what you plan to spend; don’t treat the card as a savings account. The custodial model has teeth here. The app holds your balance for you, and multiple documented user reports describe balances frozen during KYC/AML reviews.

The US is not served at all, and physical card delivery is restricted in parts of the Gulf and MENA — in those regions the virtual card is the only option. Prepaid quirks and regional gaps. As a prepaid card, merchants that need pre-authorization holds (hotels, car rentals, fuel pumps) may decline it.

Both are real. The pattern in the complaints is almost always the same: large balances, compliance flags, slow resolution. Small, regular spending is where the product shines. Reviews are split. The App Store rating is strong, while Trustpilot hovers around 3 out of 5 — enthusiastic daily spenders on one side, frustrated freeze-and-support cases on the other.

Setup in five steps (≈ 15 minutes)

Complete the KYC verification

Have your document ready; most verifications finish in minutes. ID document plus face scan — required before any core feature works.

Order the virtual card ($10)

Add it to Apple Pay / Google Pay immediately — that alone covers most everyday spending. Issued within 5–10 minutes.

Common questions

Is RedotPay a real bank account?

The accounts are provided through licensed partner institutions (RedotPay itself is a fintech, not a bank), deposits are accepted only from a bank account in your own name, and availability depends on your country. Spending balances still live as stablecoins behind the Visa card. More than before: after the KYC identity verification you get working account features in your name — and the Multi-Currency Wallet now adds real fiat rails: a EUR account with your own IBAN and SWIFT code, a GBP account with sort code, and USD transfers via SWIFT.

How much does RedotPay really cost?

Ongoing: about 1% on USD purchases, roughly 2.2% on non-USD purchases, a percentage plus operator fees at ATMs, and about 3% for card top-ups. Funding with stablecoins on cheap networks is nearly free. One-time: $10 virtual or $100 physical, no annual fee.

Does RedotPay pay cashback?

The optional Pro membership adds a capped cashback on Apple/Google Pay purchases for a monthly fee — run the numbers before subscribing. If rewards are your priority, compare Rizon (2.5%) or KAST (1.5–3%) first. The base cards pay no cashback.

Which countries does RedotPay support?

The United States is not supported, and physical card delivery is restricted in parts of the Gulf/MENA — there the virtual card is the way. The app shows your exact availability after signup. 150+ countries with a strong footprint in regions traditional banks underserve.

Is my money safe with RedotPay?

But it is custodial: the app holds your balance, compliance checks can freeze funds, and balances are not covered by deposit insurance. The practical rule: load what you plan to spend. The company is venture-backed at scale, licensed in Hong Kong with additional registrations, and has operated since 2023.

Is the referral code legitimate?

The code can be entered during registration if the link doesn’t carry it over automatically. RedotPay runs an official referral program; signing up through a referral link/code supports this blog (disclosure below every button) and never costs you extra.
